Isabella's Story

Overcoming Cancer

Facing a challenge

At 15 years old, my niece Isabella and her family, were given a nightmare scare. Isabella had cancer of her forearm and faced likely limb amputation and treatment that could cause infertility.  For the first time in over six years, her grandfather asked my brother Larry, a pastor, and I to pray for Isabella.  Pastor Larry asked his churches for intercession prayer and I asked my church family for prayer. After chemotherapy, the surgeons recommended a radical procedure to replace her forearm that had only been performed three times at that medical center, but the family went forward in faith.  They and the church families prayed earnestly for the Lord’s healing of Isabella.

Seeing God at Work

After months of treatment and physical therapy, she is in remission, praise God! Pastor Larry and I visited her and the family and we shared about our church family prayers and the importance of trusting God’s will.  Isabella and her mother truly believe that it was God who healed her.
